R. Departs From Grave Miasma

29 November 2019

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce R’s departure from our ranks.

This is without animosity or drama – we remain closer than ever and wish him all the best for the future. With this, T will assume lead guitar duties.

The shows next week with Spectral Voice will be our last together, after which the three of us will focus on completing work on a full length LP, our first release since ‘Endless Pilgrimage’ in 2016.

Please read R’s statement below.

————————————————————

From the band’s primitive beginnings as Goat Molestor in 2002, I am honoured to have been part of its evolution into Grave Miasma: a monument of frenzied death metal darkness. I am truly proud of what we have achieved together and wish my brothers continued inspiration, creativity and success in evoking The Old Coffin Spirit.

It is after careful consideration that I must step down from band commitments and focus on personal endeavours.

Massive hails to: Thomas/SEPULCHRAL VOICE and Chris/PROFOUND LORE for the dedication you have shown the band over the years. It’s been a pleasure to work with you.

Gratitude to the following sonic wizards for their craft and patience: Greg Chandler/PRIORY RECORDING STUDIOS, Jaime Gomez Arenallo/ORGONE STUDIOS and Tom/SALUTE.

I would also like to extend my respect to the following bands: NECROS CHRISTOS, DEAD CONGREGATION, ANHEDONIST (RIP), PENTACLE, BOLZER, THE RUINS OF BEVERAST, DROWNED, SONNE ADAM, KEVER, PRIMORDIAL, VOMITOR, FUOCO FATUO, DEMONOMANCY, ARCHGOAT, FUNERAL NATION, BLACK WITCHERY, HELLVETRON, POSSESSED, PORTAL, SADISTIC INTENT, MYSTIFIER, GRAVE DESECRATOR, CRAVEN IDOL, THE ONE, SCYTHIAN, SPECTRAL VOICE, BLOOD INCANTATION, VARATHRON, IRKALLIAN ORACLE, PROFANATICA, RITUAL NECROMANCY and the numerous others I have shared the stage with.

An honourable mention to: Mel/ADORIOR, R. Miller and R. Navas for their undying support.

Thanks to all the headbangers and metal freaks I’ve thrashed with along the way. You know who you are.

I look forward to my final run of shows with the mighty SPECTRAL VOICE in December, see you maniacs on the road!
